In under two years from their initial purchase of a mansion in Sydney’s affluent eastern suburbs, the dynamic fashion duo Georgia, aged 32, and Daniel Contos, aged 33, have acquired another property.

Their first acquisition, situated in the upscale waterfront enclave of Vaucluse, set them back a substantial $34.5 million in late 2021. In contrast, their most recent purchase, just down the road, came at a relatively modest $25 million.

The Contos’ first Vaucluse residence, constructed in 1976, requires some refurbishment. Consequently, they reportedly needed a temporary place to stay. Last week, the local council approved their application to demolish a portion of the original house and rebuild it, with an estimated cost of $3.7 million, as reported by Domain.

Their new abode, while significantly older, dating back to the 1920s, is said to be in excellent condition following recent renovations, allowing them to move in and establish their new home right away. Their ability to invest $60 million in property within just two years, while also having the resources for substantial renovation work, underscores the remarkable journey of this glamorous couple.

Their journey began in 2013 when the high school sweethearts started selling clothing on eBay in their early twenties, offering the latest fashion trends at affordable prices.

In a spectacular fashion, Georgia and Daniel Contos celebrated their wedding on February 5, 2022, at Woollahra Estate in Sydney, surrounded by hundreds of floral arrangements and stunning Victorian-era gothic architecture. This event marked the culmination of their 14-year journey as a couple and business partners.

Their venture, despite their lack of prior industry experience, proved to be a resounding success and marked the inception of a brand worn by celebrities like the Kardashian sisters, Sofia Richie, Hailey Baldwin, and Emily Ratajkowski.

Georgia Contos once remarked, “I was working a full-time job, so I had no idea that it was going to be as big as it is now or be recognized by a lot of people I meet.” She attributed the label’s success primarily to social media, emphasizing the pivotal role of Instagram in their growth.

Their business saw a significant boost during the Covid-19 lockdowns as shoppers turned to them for activewear and loungewear during extended periods at home. Activewear sales surged by an impressive 154 percent after New South Wales entered its second lockdown in June 2021.

The brand also expanded internationally, establishing a showroom in Los Angeles and gaining traction among influencers who showcased their bikinis, dresses, and hoodies.

However, their journey was not without challenges. In early 2022, White Fox Boutique faced accusations of copying styles from smaller brands, leading to a backlash on social media. Influencers and small business owners shared side-by-side comparisons of White Fox Boutique designs with those of other brands, questioning their originality.

Despite these challenges, the couple proceeded with their plans for a themed wedding in February 2022. Mrs. Contos remarked, “We spent a lot of time on the finer details and making sure the day was absolutely perfect.” Their wedding theme was inspired by an enchanted garden, and they aimed to create spectacular moments for both themselves and their guests. They also emphasized the importance of exceptional food, entrusting A’mare Sydney to oversee this aspect of their celebration.
