The man who has done some of the biggest deals in Sydney’s eastern suburbs is rebranding — moving on from the LJ Hooker Double Bay office he set up 35 years ago.

Real estate legend Bill Malouf, 67, and his son David, 33, are going into partnership with Highland Property, which is a major player in the Sutherland Shire.

It’s understood the Double Bay office is to be rebranded ‘Highland Double Bay Malouf’, with Highland Property managing director David Highland, 42, acquiring 50 per cent of the Maloufs’ business.

The move means LJ Hooker will no longer have a presence in prestige property in Sydney’s east. A spokeswoman confirmed: “LJ Hooker Double Bay will be rebranding to Highland.

“The LJ Hooker Group will explore and consider opportunities to continue our momentum and strategic growth in the eastern suburbs.”
