Queensland is in a renovation boom

QUEENSLAND is in the middle of a renovation boom with homeowners spending a whopping $1.35 billion on home makeovers in the last year.

Renovation work has hit a 15-month high overtaking new home building with more than $115 million worth approved in July alone, according to the latest figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

Kitchen and bathroom upgrades are the most popular renovations being done followed by new extensions.
