Real estate agent Marcus Chiminello confirmed the property sold to a local wealthy family.
He said of the new owners: ‘I think they felt they were going to be the custodians of this home. It is actually on a Toorak, if not a Melbourne scale, a landmark residence.’
The 3066-square-metre home features a sweeping staircase and columns at the front, along with a rooftop balcony.
It also has a stunning, well-manicured gardens around the grounds.
The property also boasts a tennis court and pool, while the main bedroom comes equipped with its own gym.
Prior to the sale, Marcus told Domain in May that a tennis court is a huge drawcard with prospective buyers amid the coronavirus pandemic.
‘The current owners have enjoyed 18th and 21st birthdays and weddings on that tennis court. Those types of amenities have been heightened in the current climate,’ he added.
