Gold Coast City Council sells up multi million-dollar beachfront mansion to recoup unpaid rates

MERMAID Beach’s notorious and exclusive property game has a new player — Gold Coast City Council — and they’re offering a deal on a well-known home in Millionaire’s Row.

The luxurious three-level property, next to Nobby Beach Surf Club at 2/31 Albatross Avenue, once sold for $9.75 million but could sell for less than half that when it goes to auction next Wednesday for unpaid rates.
